Nathaniel Meloon founded Meloon foundries, Inc. in 1938. As the company grew it moved several times to accommodate its growth until the most recent move to its present location in 1951. The company is located on the north side of Syracuse at 1841 Lemoyne Ave. From its beginnings as a small foundry the company has grown to its present size occupying some 60,000 square feet on a six-acre site.
In 1971 Louis Iannettoni joined the company and became owner and president in 1972. Since Louis Iannettoni became president, he has more than doubled the size of the organization and has made many improvements in the manufacturing processes and working conditions in order to meet the needs of our customers, employees and stockholders.
Our company is engaged in casting aluminum and copper base alloys. Over 40 different alloys are cast for commercial applications serving more than 200 customers in the United States. We are nationally recognized as one of the leading jobbing foundries.
